Adding or editing a Location

Before you start:

Make sure you have the details of all the locations you want to add. 

Name: 

Give your Location a name. Keep it unique so it will be easily recognisable in future to yourself and your wider team. 

Description:

A description should include any key information about the Location such as use, management, and condition. Try to include information that will make it easier for others to understand the Location’s purpose

Address Details:

Help others find and identify the Location by adding an address for the Location. 

If your location moves around within an area (e.g. a vehicle) then keep this quite broad or choose the location at which it is usually housed overnight. If it is a static building then this should be something that can be used by mapping apps and GPS systems for navigation to the property.

Map:

Define the boundaries of your Location using the map. Use the map controls to zoom into your Location, once you have found it use the Polygon tool to draw around the boundaries of your Location.

If you are updating your Location you can edit that map boundaries click the edit button or delete the layer and recreate. 

Whether creating or update make sure you click Save at the end! If you’ve made an update but don’t want to save it for any reason don’t worry – click cancel to revert it.
